National Museum of the Marine Corps

The 36,175 square foot museum at Quantico, Virginia, proudly displays the heritage of the U.S. Marine Corps. The project was completed in two phases, with an impressive gallery space, an entrance lobby, offices, orientation theater, and gift shop on the first floor and cafeteria with full kitchen on the second floor included in the initial phase. The Balfour Beatty / Fentress Architects / H&A design-build team also provided design and construction of an adjacent park and chapel.

Phase II completed the design and expanded second floor administrative space by approximately 11,300 square feet and added a number of visitor amenities to the first floor including a 350-seat giant screen theater, additional exhibit galleries, a lecture-style conference room, an artist studio and combat art program support space.
