Training & Career Development
Training and career development is a significant aspect of the H&A culture. In fact, we proudly earned the spot of #1 Training Firm by the Richmond Times Dispatch. In addition to helping our teams keep up with the latest industry trends and software, H&A offers a number of innovative programs through our H&A University.
H&A’s “More Business Acumen” (MBA) program provides additional learning opportunities to employees. This 6-month series delves into strategic leadership, human resources, marketing, accounting, information technology, ethics, operations, project management, and risk management.
Employees can also take part in H&A Tech - a cross-disciplinary, semester-long program that focuses heavily on technical competency, technical communication, and technical coordination. Other development opportunities include involvement in H&A’s Design Excellence program, membership in professional organizations, mentoring opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and company sponsored training to earn continuing education units (CEUs).
H&A employees have the opportunity to participate in multiple events benefiting our local communities and charitable organizations. In addition, H&A Service Leaders is a program that recognizes employees who commit their time and are passionate about their individual causes.
